AI Tiny Desk Troubleshooting: Uploads, Stuck Tasks and Credits

If an AI Tiny Desk video appears stuck, check the existing task before starting another one. A confirmed failure, an unavailable service and an unknown submission need different actions. Keep the task reference, use Check status or My videos, and follow the displayed credit state instead of assuming that a slow response means a failed generation.

What do AI Tiny Desk task messages mean?

Read the message beside the generator or the task in My videos. The visible state tells you whether to correct a photo, wait for processing or check an existing request. One account can have one unfinished video task at a time, as described in the task rules.

What you seeWhat to do next
Add a lead singer photoSelect the required lead. Optional bandmates alone cannot start a video.
Photo upload errorCheck the file format and size, then select a usable copy.
Generation unavailable or pausedWait for availability to return before submitting.
Uploading or submittingKeep the page open until the upload and submission are resolved.
Checking photos, generating or adding soundtrackFollow the existing task; it is still processing.
Unknown response or under reviewUse Check status for that task; avoid creating a duplicate request.
FailedCheck the credit-return state, correct the draft and choose whether to try again.
CompletedPlay and download the result. A new take requires a separate click.

Why will the photo not upload?

Use a non-empty JPG, PNG or WebP file up to 10 MB. HEIC and other formats need to be exported to a supported format first. Check that the image opens on your own device. If the selection preview is wrong, replace it before submitting.

A saved photo may become unavailable after it has been removed from storage. Choose that photo again from your device. For role assignments and preparation advice, see the photo guide. A moderation rejection is a separate issue: use permitted photos rather than trying to evade the check.

Why is the creation button unavailable?

Check whether the service is available, whether you are signed in with Google, and whether another task is still unfinished. Also check the displayed credit balance. If the balance could not be loaded, use the offered retry before submitting. A failed balance lookup does not establish that your balance is zero.

After checkout, wait for payment confirmation and return to the generator. Buying credits does not automatically create the video. If a confirmed purchase is missing, keep the payment reference and contact support. Review current packs on Pricing; do not purchase again simply to resolve an uncertain payment result.

What should you do after a lost connection or unknown response?

Use Check status or open My videos in the same Google account. An interrupted browser response can leave the outcome unconfirmed even when processing has already started. The site checks the original request before allowing another paid submission.

After a task has been accepted, you can return to its account history to follow progress. Keep the page open while photos are still uploading. The service does not promise a fixed completion time; the availability terms explain why provider delays can affect processing.

If the server explicitly says generation is temporarily paused, wait for availability to return. That confirmed rejection can be retried with a new click once the service is available. A task whose acceptance remains unknown still needs to be resolved first.

Will a failed video return your credits?

Credits spent on a confirmed failed generation return once to your balance. Follow the displayed credit state: a return still pending is different from a completed adjustment. If the task never spent credits, there is no deduction to reverse. An unresolved or under-review task is not yet a confirmed failure.

A credit return stays in your account; a refund to a payment method is a separate request. The Refund Policy explains that distinction. A completed video whose likeness or creative result disappoints you is also different from a technical failure. Inspect the result and your input photos before paying for another take.

Why did the draft disappear or show older settings?

Unsubmitted drafts are stored in the same browser for up to 24 hours, with signed-in drafts separated by account. A different browser, cleared site data or an expired draft can require you to choose the photos again. The draft and storage policy distinguishes these local selections from uploaded account files.

If an older completed task shows a different format, use Start a new Tiny Desk when that action is offered. It resets the new draft to the current band format while retaining the old result. Check the lead preview and optional roles before submitting the new take.

What should you send to support?

Send the account email, task reference, visible status, approximate time and a short description of what happened. Include the payment reference only if the issue concerns a purchase. A screenshot of the error can help; avoid including other people's private photos unless needed and permitted. Never send a password or full card number.

Use the contact page for account, credit or task help. Keep the existing task reference so the problem can be checked against the original request.
