Standard vs Closer to Original: A Same-Photo Tiny Desk Test

Choose Closer to original when the familiar movements and camera cuts matter most. In this single 480p comparison, it followed the original cuts more closely than Standard. Both videos below use the same AI-created adult lead; the other four performers stay in the scene.

Which option should you choose?

Standard uses fewer credits for your cast in the Outstanding scene. Closer to original adds guidance for the movements and camera cuts. Neither guarantees identical expressions, perfect likeness or every hand detail.

Resolution is a separate choice. Pick 480p or 720p for either performance style. Every combination includes the same 19-second vertical MP4 and soundtrack.

The same starting portrait

The test on October 29, 2026 reused the same three edited lead frames and five unchanged reference frames for both versions. It held the model, audio, scene, resolution and 13 + 6 second generation lengths constant. The Closer to original version added movement guidance and the instructions to use it. This isolates the animation step; it is not two fresh end-to-end runs.

Standard: full 19-second result

Watch the lead close-up and the transition back to the keyboard group. This is the same completed Standard example shown on the homepage.

Closer to original: full 19-second result

The lead raises a hand around 11.25 seconds and lowers it around 12 seconds, closer to the reference gesture in this take. Both files were generated at the 480p setting and measure 496 × 864 pixels, 24 frames per second, about 19.08 seconds including frame padding. All video frames are generated; this is not a mixture of generated faces and reused original video footage.

Where the camera cuts changed

We located candidate cuts using adjacent-frame changes, then checked the frames on both sides of all four cuts. Times below mark the first frame of the new shot, rounded to three decimal places. The measurement interval is one frame, about 0.042 seconds.

What this example can tell you

The largest cut-time difference was 1.042 seconds for Standard and 0.042 seconds for Closer to original. Those numbers describe these two clips, not an expected score for every generation.

This test replaced one synthetic adult lead. It does not measure five-person likeness, 720p quality or continuous lip sync. Clothing text still shows distortion, and the hands and instruments were not scored frame by frame. Watch both full clips and choose based on the result you want.

Choose your cast and settings, or see the credit packs. Existing credits work with every option; a confirmed failed task returns the credits it used.
